You’re Invited!

If you received this URL, you are one of a hand-selected group of beautiful friends. You may not live near me now, but you have shared a major part of my life so far. I know it’s a lot to ask for you to take the time and expense to travel all the way out to Chesapeake for my birthday. But I couldn’t imagine having my 50th without at least trying to invite you. In case you can make it, here are the details and some trip planning tips to get you started.

I really hope I get to see you there!

The Deets

Please join me and the kids for wine, food, and a dance party celebrating my first 50 years on this planet on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 6:00pm in our new home at 3321 Tyre Neck Road, Chesapeake, Virginia 23321.

Attire is cocktail or pajamas (or both!).

I wish I could host all of you here but sleeping space and bathrooms are limited in our new home.

Suggestions for hotels are below. Fly into Norfolk (ORF) and make a weekend of it! In addition to the cities listed below, we are also fairly close to Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown (45 minutes); Richmond (1 hour); and the Outer Banks (90 minutes).

Chesapeake, Suffolk: Close and Cozy

Not much to see or do here, but these hotels are near my house so it will be easy to come and go as you please.

Norfolk: Hipster Vibes

Stay downtown near the waterfront or in Ghent for that college town feel and cool art museums. These hotels are about 15 minutes from my house, and close to the airport.

Virginia Beach: The Beach, Duh!

Wintertime at the Beach can be cold, but the air is clear and the place can feel like you have it all to yourself. Plus, no tourists! The oceanfront is 30-45 minutes from my house.
